JRSC to turbo

Call me a heathen but I am considering the switch (either MaxRev or RevHard kits). I intend to use Hondata/RC 550s when I want to move above 7-8 psi but until then can I use the JR BTC/relay with the JR FMU? I currently have a hi-pressure Walbro pump installed. Thanks.

Yes you can use the BTC but 5:1 rise rate on stock injectors is probably not the best idea. Maybe you should find some 310cc and you will be alot safer. Also the kit will come with a 12:1 rise rate FMU I believe. let us know more about your setup as far as the fuel part goes!!!

I don't think the BTC is catered to Turbo use. Its specifically tuned for Supercharger duty. I may be wrong though. Also, most turbo folks don't really retard their timing with the stock(6psi) kits. They also don't have Tip In Det like us "instaboost" guys do with the superchargers.

The Max Rev or Rev Hard kits will come with all you need to run the turbo, hence the fact that it is a KIT

You're right. The Maxrev kit does not come with any electronics BUT this is probably due to the relatively low boost the wastegate is set at. I want to boost this turbo up to 8-9 psi (on stock internals and injectors). My JRSC boost is pretty well at this level and I definitely need the BTC otherwise I get detonation. Detonation is what I'm afraid of (prior to getting this eliminated with a Hondata) and the JR BTC surely would help by retarding the ignition as boost rises. Perhaps I am answering my own question. Problem is: I don't know.

Do the smart thing and don't run your car higher than 6psi on stock injectors. You're just playing with fire.
